Transfers made

    How many transfers have you made as of GW 37 and to what cost?

    I'm on 64 transfers, with a total cost of 124 points.

    I plan to take no hits for the final GW, so that will be my lot.#

    To find out, look at your gameweek history and it should list the transfer cost up to GW 36, adding them all up will give you your total plus whatever you'e made this week. Wild cards haven't been included here. To find out total transfers made, you just need to look at the Transfers and Finance box

    ETA: It might be interesting to note your position as well.. As of now I am in the 40 k. I have been consistently around 20k for the last number of weeks

    The top 2 who have only 14 points separating them have made 48 point hits and 84 point hits respectively. Person in third has made 32 point hit, sitting only 6 points away from second.

    That is an obscene amount of hits! Total transfers 42 total cost 36 points this is a huge number of hits compared to normal have had a ridiculous run of injuries. Last season I took 3 hits and season before 2.

    50 transfers, -64 hit including GW37. I got hit happy starting GW30 and it hasn't really paid off :(.

    Hmm 41 transfers with -36 in hits. Took the necessary but wasn't easy with them. I would say they gave a higher return several times though!

    23k overall

    51 transfers. -64 in hits. I'm shocked myself by how much that figure was. I took 3 -8s and one -12. By and large, they have all worked out iirc.

    I'm 845 in the world and on 2350 points. I played my wildcard straight after GW1.

    60 transfers incl GW 37, -104pts in hits!!

    Since GW12, I was hovering between 300<>100k.

    Broke into top 100k GW28, and have risen steadily to 33k this week. Interestingly enough I have taken 48 pts in hits from GW30 onwards. My policy has been to be very agressive. If I made say 20pts on leaders in a GW, I think ok use some of that to re-shape my team for upcoming GWs. Has been fairly successful.

    63 for the season so far but may make it 64 next gameweek.

    Aggressive approach has paid off the points hits overall.

    56 transfers, 88 points in hits. 11k in the world.

    Rookie season but learning that hits can be worth doing and not afraid of taking them. Did some silly ones early on but very happy with most in second half of season, especially my epic -12 last week. :D

    As of GW36: 37 transfers for a 52 pts hit (started GW10).
    Will take a 12 pts hit this week.

    So for GW37 will be on 41 transfers for a 64 pts hit.

    Tried a few gambles and had to make multiple transfers to be able to afford expensive players (with my late start).

    Plan is to finish the season with an all green arrow finish. The 12 pts hit is risky but think it's worth it. It would leave me with
    Mannone
    Demi Kos Evra/Jones
    Ramsey Eriksen Mata Yaya
    Wickham Rooney
    Aguero
    Adrian. Colback, Chester, Ward
    (in bold are my transfers)

    instead of
    Mannone
    Demi Kos Chester
    Ramsey Eriksen Mata Gerrard
    Suarez Lukaku Aguero
    Adrian. Colback, Ward, B. Turner
    with Wickham for Lukaku or Ward/Turner to Evra/Jones as my FT with the £2.3 m I had in the bank.

    58 transfers, 100points exactly in hits.

    17k in the world. Did a lot of chasing this year which has cost me. Twice had -12 hits

    60 so far: think i'll make 2 this week, for another -4, am a bit disappointed there's a fair few on more transfers than me :P , anyway a fair few hits but have categorically repaid themselves

    50 Transfers made for a total of -64 points. Currently at 27k.

    Light enough compared to come people here but actually the first season I've taken serious points hit, had shied away from them before. Terrible start meant a massive overhaul was necessary. Has given me the confidence to be more aggressive in future.

    Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

    56 transfers at a cost of 88 points. I'm 84k overall.

    The worst transfers I made were bringing in Tom Ince for 3 weeks, and Ben Turner of Cardiff who has been on my bench for 3 months now.

    Looking through my transfers made for hits:

    GW1: Ivanovic -> Coleman
    GW6: Soldado -> Suarez
    GW7: Ward-Prowse -> Townsend
    GW8: Redmond -> Ravel
    GW10: Hangeland -> Terry & Lukaku -> Aguero
    GW14: Terry -> B.Turner & Townsend ->Gerrard
    GW17: Howson -> Coutinho
    GW19: Ramsey -> Walcott
    GW20: Williams -> Kos
    GW21: Walcott -> Oscar
    GW22: Rooney -> Aguero
    GW24: Aguero -> RVP
    GW26: Cazorla -> Hazard
    GW28: Gabbidon -> Ward
    GW30: RVP -> Rooney & Ade -> Lukaku
    GW31: Olsson -> Demi & Lallana -> Henderson
    GW34: Delph -> Eriksen
    GW35: Henderson -> Ramsey
    GW36: Suarez -> Rooney & Holtby -> Mata

    I'm not going to look back and see how they actually scored but I think there's a lot more hit than miss there. There is absolutely nothing wrong with taking a hit or 2 or 3 if you bring in the right player. I don't care what anyone says.

    Some may have been over zealous but that's just how I play the game. A few players brought in for hits got injured very soon after which was unfortunate but it's a risk you take with any transfer. Since GW30 onwards the only hit that didn't pay off was Henderson to Lallana but it helped free up funds too and Henderson picked up some points.

    Made 42 transfer -32 in hits. Really thought it was far worse in hits tbh.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,833 ✭✭✭shineon23

    71 transfers.

    148 points dropped.

    Ranked 32k overall.

    I don't mind dropping the points

    I do aim to do 2 transfers every week. so I'm on course.
    36 weeks x2= 72 transfers
    2 wildcard weeks not counted.

    Probably not a great strategy but changing things up keeps it interesting,

    Despite the Rooney injury I have 9 double gameweek players this week.

    71 transfers- Do I win? :)

    57 Transfers, -96points

    Points hit can be worth it and don't bother me too much, most weeks I get a positive return.

    I took a 16 point hit in GW31, finished with 163 points and moved up a few 1000.

    I'm in the top 2,500.

    To divert a bit from transfers. With regards to WC's do people overall think its more beneficial to use them earlier rather than later?

    I used my first one early and was happy with. Used my second one late and was reasonably happy with that too but the lack of finance as a result in my team has just hit me now. Could only get Yaya in with an 8 point hit.

    Next season I will do both WC's as early as possible unless Im convinced otherwise ;)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,833 ✭✭✭shineon23

    One year I held on to my main WC until April and I made a mess of my team and ruined my season.

    I usually use it first in sept/oct when I have a fair idea who is starting, and any position changes; e.g a defender playing in midfield.

    I'd like to have had one late this year with all the double game weeks but I really needed to use it early on.

    My finances have been fairly good this year (at 110-111 mark since Jan/Feb time) I'll be able to do a straight swap Adam Johnson to Hazard next week without taking a hit.
