Proof I passed the NY Bar in Feb 2008?

    Folks,

I'm planning on applying to take the QLTT to qualify here in Ireland. I took the bar in Feb 2008 and passed, but didnt get sworn in until 2010. I do not have any PQE in New York.

I have spoken to the Law Society and they said that it is crucial that I show that I was "in the system" before the rule change. I have turned my parents' house up and can not find the letter I received notifiying me that I had passed. All documents from that time have gone missing.

Has anyone any idea how I could get proof of this? The BOLE website has the pass list right back to July 2008, which is incredibly frustrating!

Who could I make contact with to maybe get another print out of this?

    Thanks

Could you contact the Board of Examiners directly and ask them to confirm you passed in February 2008?

The contact details are on their site.

Edit: it seems they don't provide a public-facing email address, but they have phone, fax and carrier pigeon options here: http://www.nybarexam.org/Contact/Contact.htm

They email the letter now, not sure in 2008. Try your old email accounts.

Cheers for the replies. Crisis averted, I came across a letter which should be sufficient.

Hi, the Law Society will want your Certificate of Good Standing from NY, which you should be able to get as you've been sworn in there.
