What's the difference of having nozzle on agitator pointing straight or downward

Downwards breaks up any lumps that come around the agitator. Don't have a nozzle/flap on my agitator and wish I had

Point down to mix area around mixer point straight to mix tank. So point down every so often to break up solids that pointing straight bring in. Don't let too much solid get around pump or it stops as you have pumped all the liquid away from pump

Straight out to get it moving, down to break the lumps up as they come into it.
