Don't know if this is the correct forum. I am trying to boost the signal so my kids can use playstation two floors up from where modem is. They cannot get internet to online game ( my head is wrecked from the moaning ). Do I need to get a wireless range extender or is there something else I would need to get. Really haven't a clue . If it is the above , is it easy to install ?. Have looked elsewhere online for advice but am a bit bamboozled with all the options and jargon.

    Any advice would be appreciated.

    Hi,
I would suggest you using one of these. Powerline adaptors will transport network traffic via the electric circuit.

You can also find some wireless receptors but if the goal is to use only with the consoles, than using it wired will provide much better performance and stronger signal.
