    Bad value for that OK..
Ours were 4 and 10 and we stayed in about 4 hours.. Is good value at that, plus I think herself had got discount vouchers somewhere.

Still they'd be busier at cheaper rates

My 2 only stay in the small pool with the pirate ship, I have to pay 14€ for the privilege of sitting on the side, freezing.

I get the tickets through Tesco Clubcard deals.

Running a pool this size is hugely expensive, though. Between the heating, the staff, the cleaning, the water, chemicals, etc... Considering I pay 6€ to go to the local pool, with each kid paying 3€, I don't think it's that expensive. The local pool has nothing special, just the pool itself. The changing rooms are freezing and not too clean. There are just 3 showers. All considered, it's worse value than the Aquatic Centre

My local pools in Derry. Theres slides and waves and its a beach style pool (starts at an inch of water and gradually gets deeper, like on a beach)
For the me, the missus and 4 kids its £7.60 an hour.

And I'd imagine its subsidised heavily by the local council, with their property taxes that make ours look insignificant.

Probably heavily subsidised by the USC and Property taxes we pay in the south, just like the road tax we pay going towards the A5 in NI, with still no road to show for it...

I was there today and it was 14.40 for three adults, the pirate ship was open, the wave pool (with no waves) and everything else was closed it was fine as we had a 2 year old so it was mainly for him.

The little lad really enjoyed it and I was thinking of using the tesco vouchers and going on a saturday or a sunday morning. Does anyone know how busy it is first thing in the morning?
