Buy a cheap ferry ticket to a ferry port from UK to Ireland, ow you can say that you went back to England n the meantime before the 30 day limit.

The penalty is calculated on a % (think it's 1%) on the open market selling price determined bt revenue, per day outside the 30 day limit.

From experience, the nct centre only look for a ferry ticket and checks if it matches with sale date. But I don't see any reason why you couldn't say you bought it in the UK and was stored in the UK due to a mechanical issue, and then have your ferry ticket dated in the last 30 days.

What kind of car is it?

Yeah thats a good idea its an audi a6 2010 le mans edition, i wonder should i ring revenue and tell them ive had it parked up or would i be shooting myself in the foot? ive emailed the garage to send me on a new invoice for todays date would that make any difference? tell them i threw out the ferry stuff?

    Right a new invoice yourself.
And find someone who has a recent ferry ticket.
