Seat beat light won't turn off

    Hi all i tried to clean my passanger seat with a sponge and a load off washing powder.
    That was fine for a day,
    then all of a sudden my passage seat belt light will not knock off, Makes matter worse my nct is next week and i need to get a cheap fix to it please help, Is there a way on knocking it off will it fail my nct.
    If i get a seat belt clip out of a breakers will that be ok for the ncy,
    Is there a way on turning it off

    Most likely water is causing problems with the sensor on the seat that detects a person sitting in the seat rather than a problem with the seat belt clip. It may dry out in time for the NCT or another option might be get a hair dryer on it.

    good idea yea i am hoping that the dam washing powder did not cost to much demage its ben the third day and still acting up,

    Can you remove bolts holding seat down and clip to get at it to dry.

    did you kneel on the seat move it hard back and forward or just wet it.

    All the above can cause problems with connections.
