    Hi all,

I have been overpayed from the social welfare for a few months now. I have a part time job and i fill out the dockets in which you have to colour and little dots in (x & o). From my end i fill out the dockets exactly the way i should (work 3 days a week) so i should be getting 54 a week. Sometimes i get 114 sometimes i get 144. Any idea what could be going wrong there? I feel bad as i probably should have went and reported that straight away but i for some reason i didnt and i am stressed out to bits. Of course i will now go asap and tell them about it but could i get in trouble for being so late in telling them?

    Thanks
    L

Don't be stressed, if you have been over paid they will appreciate your honesty in coming forward. It's likely that if there's been an overpayment you'll be asked to pay it back in small amounts deducted each week. Good luck, let us know how you get on.

Thanks a lot, i just feel bad that i didnt report that straight away. I sopose once i filled out my docket right every week then i should be allright eventhough i was getting too much money?

    Thanks

Yes it's their error, and who knows maybe it's not even an error and you're entitled to keep the money. €54 sounds a bit low, I'd have thought you'd be entitled to more, without knowing your details.

Well i am entitled to 144. I should have 90e deducted each week as i work 3 days (-30 for each day) It used to be that way for sometimes until the new dockets came in then things started going allover the place.

Ah ok. Don't stress about it, they will just put it down as an administrator error and hopefully will just look for a few euros a week until it's paid. You won't be done for fraud :-)

Are you on Jobseekers allowance? (Means tested)
Do you always put 3 O's each week or on some weeks do just put one or two as the weeks run into one another?

I used to be on job seeker then i found got my part time job. My docket starts from a wednesday until a tuesday. And i always put 3 O's and rest X's.

    Edit:

Sorry i think the casual thing is as if i was jobseekers right?
