Rás jersey for social media performance?!

Is it just me or does anyone else think this is rediculous? The idea of someone in the Rás (or any other race) wearing a special jersey which takes their social media performance into account just seems farsical - I think I'd feel like a right plonked wearing it (which of course won't happen). I've actually won a similar prize myself in the past, at another An Post sponsored race. It was just a bit of fun and I'm sure there's a similar idea behind this.

Nobody wears the jersey during the race. The winner is selected after the final stage.

I won a jersey for my social media participation in the Rás*... as many of my clubmates will tell you, I wear it with pride!

*I've never done the Rás
