    Did I miss mention of the line rental amount in that link?

    It seemed to me not to include the rental .....

    For €35 per month, it does include line rental.
    I checked my line there and it told me I was suitable for 'up to 24Mb' and also that I should get their sister company's (Digiweb) Bitstream package.

    That is because you aren't connected to one of their Local Loop Unbundling (LLU) exchanges. So they are sending you off to their crap parent companies website, which offer awful packages.

    In which case you would be much better off with Vodafone.
