Sealing concrete floor

Looking for advice on what to use to seal the garage's concrete floor.

We've levelled it with cement-based floor levelling compound so it's nice and smooth, and we want to paint it with floor paint. But do we need to seal it first? What product do we use?

It's bone dry, BTW. No damp issue.

Done the same job myself last Week in the Garage. I used the Lidl Floor paint which does both jobs Seals and Paints at the same time.
It's not suitable for a commercial Garage floor as petrol and oil spills will burn through it. But it's fine for a Domestic Garage.
Ideally you should wait until you have a few good days weather so as you can leave stuff outside in the garden until finished.
Two to three coats are recommended. The first coat is diluted 30 % with Water.
Then give it two more coats for a good finish.
Mine turned out a nice job which I'm very pleased with.

Thanks for the reply sky6. We also have bought a floor paint/sealant (pricey stuff, Ronseal, wish we were doing this when the Lidl paint was available!). Starting it today, and feeling more confident now with your positive report.
