Guess the sample?

I wrote this track yesterday afternoon. Tis all my own work from scratch. It's not great by any stretch, but I was messing around drum programming and testing some effects.

I used a couple of vocal samples from a famous video game series and really screwed around with them (these are direct wave files from my personal game OST CD collection).

They are supposed to be muffled up and almost inaudible (no thanks in part to the gate and pan effects I slapped on them!).

If anyone fancies a listen, see if you can guess the sample? I'd love to see if anyone gets it right (and get a few folks listening to my rubbish haha)! :)

I was going to say it sounds like the announcers voice from a fighting game but considering who you are it has to be a schmup

It's not from Einhander is it?
    And loving the tune.
Has a real 808 State vibe to it.
I was the groups only fan in Sligo circa '90.
    ExCel was magnificent!

    Cheers Le Cidre.

It's just a track messing about really. Trying to create an IDM style breakbeat track to be honest. Lots of mistakes and crap mastering throughout but like any car from a British Leyland factory in the 70's, it'll do... :)

Mr. Retro is the closest yet!

Nah, more the BMC ADO16 of EDM! :)

Did you know there was also an Austin Princess 2, an Austin Princess: New Zealand Edition and... an Austin Princess Estate?

All models of the Princess are now rare as blue steak. In fact the Austin Princess Estate is so rare there are only two known of these left in the world! One in Holland and one in England that was written off. Would love to see a Cosworth engine slapped in to one of those!

So the next magazine you'll be publishing will be Beige Bullets featuring dreadful British cars built in the 1970's, made in Dagenham!
