Anytime I've followed Henry in the EFC I see they constantly refer to the fact that he's a "Nigerian born fighter"

Is that just to increase his African marketability?

The guys at EFC love the fact that Henry brings something different, with the ties to Ireland especially. But I think also they like to remind people that he is still African, & I certainly think that it makes him less of an outsider with the fans etc. Also mma is not too commonly practised in Nigeria, & perhaps having a role model like Henry represent it could have somewhat of a Conor McGregor effect in terms of getting guys hooked to the sport.

For those who have not seen Henry in action before, here is his finish against former Welterweight Title holder Michiel Opperman at EFC 26, which put Henry into the no. 1 contender spot

It's probably simply because he was born in Nigeria.

Ha, yeah well I know that, but you hear little about his, not sure how to phrase this correctly, Irish upbringing or the fact he is Irish trained

Also found it very interesting that this will be his first full training camp!
Incredible, and really puts some of his previously impressive fights into a new perspective
