At home with a draw against city and a win against chelsea i can see them doing the business against a poor cardif side .... hopefully :pac:

I'm only kidding. I know absolutely nothing about soccer. Just thought it looked funny on a mma betting slip

Yeah i done the same bet without them but i taught it bumped up the odds a bit! Sneaky bet with a glover ko instead of jones too!

couldnt resist the 4s on tex

doesnt strike me as that much of an underdog
curious as to how good he'll be in the championship rounds
    should it go that far

see an easy win for gomi who's striking is on another
    level to flagg

also a very boring safe ud for phil davis or a possible sub if
he feels threatened by aj standing

boetsch won't be much of a test for roc
that will be a one sided beating imo

what I wouldnt give to see a new champ and equally phil
    davis being put to sleep

    20/1

    Not half bad at all

    25/1 round two

    Big prices for big power

edit, stuck a euro on both for the craic

I'd love to see Jones lose this.
When he was coming up, I always said he needs to be brought back down to earth a bit. But I think he's too far gone at this stage and his ego is just too big.
I want him to lose but do I think Glover would be a good champ that'd reign for a while? Not a chance.

Me too and so badly at that
its up there with anderson silva losing for me

I wonder how good glovers chin is
was rocked for a moment against moldonado and bader

Hard to say whether the best Glover can get inside Jones and make this dirty .. nobody ever really made Jones swing for the fences and glover needs that to land his heavy shot.

Same old formula: early is the best chance to catch him with a flurry or sub when the speed is there and both guys are dry. Glover does it in rounds 1 or 2 or he's getting wrecked.

Only thing different now is Gus took the sheen off jones and people smell blood in the water - that might be a serious miscalculation which could end a lot if dudes in the hospital!

Wow, surprised with the Jones hate. We are pretty much being graced with potentially the best mixed martial artist of all time not even in his prime yet. People want someone who would lose the title within a couple of defences to win!

Jones by submission for me with a choke (sneaky anaconda choke maybe).

I'm torn about who I want to win. I'd like to see Tiexeira do it but I'm worried we'd get another one of those instant rematches for beaten champs. Something about those rematches rub me the wrong way. Hope it's a good back-and-forth fight though. You never can tell if someone will give Jones a fight or if he'll just run through them.

Beautiful flying knee KO from Chris Beal moments ago. Flawless technique and landed flush.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,750 ✭✭✭ASOT

    Maybe iv underestimated brenneman.....

My thoughts exactly. Brenneman is such a suffocating opponent to come up against.

I can only recall seeing him perform well once and that was when he was a late inclusion to fight Rick Story and dominated him on the ground.

Yeah, hes lost 4 out of his last 5 fights in the ufc and been finished in all 4 inside 2 rounds.

Yea I don't rate Brenneman at all , thats why my main bet of this whole card was on this fight going less than 2.5 rounds at 11/10 ( posted in gambling forum earlier today ) . The rest of this prelim card is pretty poor except for maybe the Benavidez fight. Main card is good though , cant wait.

Does anyone else's signal keep skipping briefly or is it just me ?

Pity it wouldn't skip to the main card already.

Not sure why Duke wasn't using her kicks. Never would have allowed her opponent to close the distance as easy as she did.

    Bad fight anyway.

Gomis stance reminds me of McGregors

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,970 ✭✭✭Lenin Skynard

Gomi can fairly land some nasty stuff even when he's completely wrecked. Looking very good.

His counter punching is ridiculous, hitting some seriously hard shots.

Hes not defending as good, id say he can see **** all out of it.

Maybe that was a bit premature hes on top this round!!

Funnily enough, Vallie Flagg slagged off McGregor really badly in an interview I read recently. Based on this fight, I think McGregor would be absolutely sparking him up right now if he hadn't already knocked him out.

100% Conor would pick him apart something terrible.

    The eye is ridiculously swollen.

Personally thought Vallie Flag did just enough but have Gomi in my accumulator so don't really care. :pac:

Had gomi myself so im happy, fair play to Vallie Flag for not getting ko'd, Gomi seemed to hit hard as ****.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,455 ✭✭✭weemcd

Gomi was smart tying up in the clinch at times and getting some air, as he was breathing heavy early. Kept his opponent honest with plenty of shots to the body and the late damage eye on V.F says it all.

My god the reply of that guillotine shows how good it was. Quality.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,698 ✭✭✭Gumbi

Some sick technique there, and Benevidez was under pressure early, defending submissions and takedowns (crucifix position, and was that a banana split attempt or am I mistaken?). But he really took it home there with that guillotine.
