Google Play Store Issue (Purchasing)

Hi! Has anyone else had this problem?

I'm currently trying to purchase a Nexus 5 on the Google play store however,

When I got to the payment method firstly, it's not bringing up any of the addresses I have in my Google Wallet!

Secondly, it asks me to add a new address so when I got to add an address one of the selections is a "County Select"

It gives me a drop down list and I have to select one of them. I change it to Sligo however, then it comes up with a validation error that says:
    "Maximum of 3 characters allowed."

Anyone know how to bypass this or having the same problem maybe? Cheers thanks.

Just got exactly the same thing, googled for it and this thread was one of two results. Sounds like they busted it today/yesterday for Ireland.

FYI all counties give this, and this happens on iOS browsers and Android Chrome alike.

Yeah I was wondering alright. Talk about bad timing eh? I got my brother to buy me one anyway so I got what I wanted but it's gonna be a major issue for them I tell you that much. Wonder if it's only happening to Irish customers or more? :O

I've bought paid things on my N5 previously, but I've had my card set up on my play account for ages, so probably why I've had no recent problems I guess.

This problem is actually purchasing an N5 from the web-based Play store with physical delivery. I've had no issue buying digital-downloads from the Play store on Android, or the web-interface in the past.

Ah right, carry on then. Mine was bought via the UK play store ages ago.

    Reading comprehension FTL.

FWIW, I 'corrected' the form validation to allow the 'create_address' request to be submitted. It comes back okay, but the preceding form doesn't retrieve the saved addresses. I suspect there's a problem handling Irish addresses on the server-side too - it's probably even the same code.

Yeah I'm pretty sure it's server side validation. Anyway, the representative from Google said he would contact me back in the next 2 days to keep me updated :)

I already got the phone anyway but I will keep people updated as to where they're at with this problem!
