Hi, ive noticed that online, used faulty phones can be bought really cheap. Is their big money to be made in buying faulty phones and either repairing them or just selling the on the way you bought them.

If so which would be better. I have experience with fixing Iphones and HTC'S and would be interested in looking into this.

I did this for a bit but tis hard to make money from it unless you get the phones for free. The faulty phones seemed to cost the same as any other second hand phone - the cost of whatever had to be replaced

    heres what im thinking:

if you were to buy one for under €10 lets say fix the digitizer, would cost €10 at the most. sell it on for €40-50. Thats a profit of €20-30 put 10 aside as profit, use the other 10-20 to buy another and fix it. Its slow to make money but could possibly work.

I dont know, I just heard once there was a bit of gold in phones. If you're paying for them though I doubt they would be worth much scrapped.

Useful metal to make the phones do what phones do I'd imagine. Search google for gold in phones there and you'll get a load of info on it.

Hey...you can search for things without quotes?

    Nobody tells me anything.

Most printed-circuit-boards and many chips have a bit of gold in them. It's an excellent electrical conductor.

The components in the phone are worth more than the sum of it's parts if sold as faulty. They recycle a lot of this stuff in India/China. And make new phones out of the refurbished parts. Or melt the precious metals down and so on.
