Lazy eye surgery

    Hello,

I am wondering can anyone shed some light as to how I can go about correcting the alignment of my lazy eye? I am very self conscious over it. I had surgery when I was very small but the vision is not being used as much as the other eye is dominant. I am in my 20's now and would consider surgery again if that was an option? Also has anyone any idea how much it would cost or how long one would have to stay in hospital? I'd really appreciate it.

    Thanks.

You can have surgery to correct the turn but to correct the vision. There are a number of doctors in Dublin (and elsewhere I'm sure) you can talk to about this. Paul Moriarty and Martin O'Connor (Charlemont Clinic) are both good with this. Pretty sure surgery is a daycase. I'm unsure of cost but would guestimate around the €1300 mark including all the pre and post-op consultations.
