I have a Samsung Galaxy smartphone. When mid phone call if the screen touches my ear or side of my head its the same affect as if I'm swiping the screen with my finger. Result is that the screen changes and more often a lost connection. Anyone know the solution to this....something in settings that needs to be changed?

I checked in a Vodafone outlet today and was told that this is normal for all touchscreen phones. Yeah?

I tend to hit the power button to lock the screen once I'm connected.

In the call settings on my S3 there's a option to turn the screen off when on calls using a sensor, think I had similar on a HTC Desire
