Last night (Wed) while RTE2 on Saorview at 10.35pm had the programme after the Champions League semi-final showing (can't remember its name) RTE2 via Sky here in NI still had the CL scheduled with wording 'this programme is not available' (the whole programme was geo-blocked). Why was schedule different for satellite and terrestrial?

Because in N.I. Sky tell your card to block certain programs RTE don't have N.I. Rights for. If you had an Irish address with Sky the card would have stayed working.

On Saorview you are getting "overspill" and it's FTA anyway. If you had Saorsat it wouldn't have been blocked.

My question concerns scheduling not geo-blocking. EPG for RTE2 on Sky had CL football still on at 10.35pm while Saorview had the programme after CL on.

That's not what was asked by the OP (who appears well aware that geo-blocking happens).

Anyway, I seriously doubt Republic of Telly is supposed to be geo-blocked on Sky in NI.
