Maybe someone here can satisfy my curiosity.

The other day on the M50 I saw a strange reg I can't remember the exact number but it was something like 74905, it was definitely 5 digits all numbers together and no space, there was no other markings on the plate like a country or that. It was also a black plate with silver numbers, and unlike the military ones I've seen it was plastic, all the military ones I can recall were metal with the characters embossed or raised up on them.

I briefly thought maybe a garage plate but I'm sure they are green am I right, also there was a couple in the front and a kid in a child seat in the back which would kinda point away from that. The other bit of info is it was a RHD drive so an irish or english car.
