Just wondering how long it took people to get back playing sports after an acl surgery. I know its meant to be at least 6 months but it tends to vary from what ive seen. Im currently at 4 months myself. Also im running on road and I always get a stiffness in my calves, any solution to that problem would be great.

Typically rehab lasts 6 months or so but its different for everyone. My team mate played 60 mins at the weekend 8 months after surgery. I had my surgery Nov '12 and I returned to training in Feb of this year. I had problems with my hip flexor on the operated leg and also some bother with my hamstring.
You should go back when your physio says so but also when you feel confident to do so.
On the stiffness in your calves, its probably just from the road running and the impact of the surface. Make sure to stretch properly and maybe get a foam roller to work out the stiffness.
