    looking for some advice regards a 2nd hand v60. Going to look at a 2011 V60 1.6 Diesel - are there any gotcha's I should look out for with the v60's? It has reasonable mileage on it ~80k km - does this look ok?

    Nice looking car but they are not cheap and spec seems to be fairly sparse on the majority of examples. 80k km would be 50k miles which is low for a 3 year old diesel car. 1.6 litre diesel engine is made by Peugeot/Citroen.

    I'd try to find a D3 version if possible. The D2 is nippy enough around town, but soon runs out of puff at higher speeds. It's a bit of a dissapointment in such a great car otherwise.

    The 5 Cylinder, 163ps, D3 engine has no such issues, and is pretty damn fast all the way up to silly speeds.

    Boot is a touch on the small side. Even the ES model has enough equipment as standard to be OK, although Bluetooth wasn't standard at the time.

    Full service history is a must on the D2 engine.

    My one pet hate is that leather seats are no longer standard on SE models anymore. Volvo leather seats are very nice.

    D3 engine all the way btw.

    I was looking at S40 and V50s recently and I always thought D2/D3 referred to the spec, not the engine.

    D designates that it is diesel:

    D2 = 1.6
    D3 = 2.0
    D5 = 2.4

    The S60/V60 now has a D4 also which is a higher powered 2.0 litre than the D3. D3 and D4 are now 4 cylinder though whereas the older D3 was 5 cylinder.

    Trim levels are S/ES, R-Design, SE and SE LUX.

    Would D4 better be remapped or just get D5 ?
