Hi. I'm in the process of building a gaming pc and will be ordering the remaining parts in the coming days. Before I do though I would like to ensure that the chosen parts are compatible with one another. I already have the following:

    Intel i5 2500k - 135€
    GIGABITE GA-Z68AP-D3-37€
    CORSAIR Vengeance CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9 8gb -48€
    MSI R9 270 GAMING 2G 126€

The following is what I believe is all that's required + headset:

XFX PRO550W Core Edition Full Wired Power Supply
    49,65 €

    WD Blue 1TB 6Gb's
    46,49 €

Samsung SSD 840 EVO Basic 120GB SATA 6Gb/s
    68,67 €

    ARCTIC COOLING Freezer 13 CO(Sockel 775/1155/1156/1366/754/939/AM2/AM2 +/AM3/AM3+/FM1)
    22,53 €

    BitFenix Merc Alpha

    31,70 €

    TP-LINK TL-WN881ND Netzwerkkarte/-adapter

    10,78 €

    Plantronics Headset GameCom 380

    23,02 €

So could anyone give me advice on the above and make any amendments if possible.
The motherboard was bought used and did not include anything other than the board itself so I was wondering what additional cables/screws would I need to hook up all the internal components together?

    Thanks.

You'll just need 2 SATA cables to connect your SSD + HDD, 3 if you also want a DVD drive.
If you're buying from HWVS you could get "LogiLink 0.75m e-SATA Kabel mit Sicherungslasche" and "LG DH18NS schwarz bare SATA II" if you want a DVD drive.

Your case should come with the rest of the screws and standoffs for the motherboard but not the I/O backplate.

Most people would also recommend a hyper 212 evo for cooling performance and it would be a bit quieter with a 120mm fan as opposed to the 92mm on the Freezer 13 but I see it's out of stock at the minute.

Thanks for the response. I have 2 or 3 e-sata cables from an old computer as well as a dvd drive. Would the e-sata cables used for SATA II hard drives work with SATA III drives? And are all the parts compatible with one another?

Are these cables eSata to sata cables or just purely eSata to eSata? In the first case they might work but there is a slight difference between the eSata and sata spec.

Here's a discussion about it with some suggesting it works ok on some boards but not on others, just google "Esata to sata internal via cable" and pick the toms link. I would probably just pick up some new sata cables to be sure.
