International Drivers Permit

    I am going on holidays to Portugal later this year and intend renting a car. Do i need an international drivers permit or is my Irish Drivers Licence sufficient?

    Drivers licence is all that's needed to rent, all the permit is is a recognised translation for countries that don't use English or into their local language.

    Your Irish licence is all you need to be able to drive in any other EU country.
