Like the title says, 50% off certain clearance items on the American Eagle website.

Looks as though items are being shipped from the US so customs may add something to the final cost.

always ask the supplier will they accept two payments, so when the rather nice coustoms official email you for a copy of your payment you give him one.

If your oder is under 130 for goods.... so not incl delivery, you do not have to pay customs. Delivery is 32 euro. I have bought lots on ae over the years and never paid customs as always under 130 euro. Have an order on the way as they had 40% off everything on their site on easter sun

Not a legal buff but like @ariya said if you keep your order to less than €150 then I don't believe there is a customs charge. Shirts going for €12.50 in the clearance section, don't think you can go wrong this AE stuff at those prices

130 euro limit? Anything over 23 euro and you'll be paying.
You need to recheck both customs duty and VAT limits.

My last order in November came to €115 including DHL. On delivery DHL charged me another €20 or so before they would release the package.

That €150 is for duty only (which is normally a small percentage anyway). You still have to pay 23% vat.

They sitched to DHL years back. Since then there is no "chance" or "certain amount". DHL will calculate the full amount and make you pay them before they will deliver it.

Unfortunately, they will go off the Customs statement that is on the outsdie of the Parcel. One of the most annoying things with AE (and have mailed them in the past about it) is that they state the full value of the clothes, not the discounted value. Therefore, you may be spending €200 on clothes, but will be charged customs on €400 worth.

Yep you have to pay vat on your package but not customs. I phoned and spoke to revenue bout it and they told me 130?? So i keep it to under that and have not been charged. I have had to pay 20 odd euro vat but no customs

My invoices have always showed the discount price deducted from total

Bad o.p.... now have another package on the way!

Ordered from American Eagle last week. Total order was €130 including delivery. Got a text yesterday saying I would have to pay €20 customs.

    Its vat not customs duty.

My two packages arrived, both with 129 euros plus postage worth of stuff and was charged 28 vat on each package.

DHL are charging me €50 for a package valued at €110 excluding shipping. Do I pay the €50 and just claim the duty paid from customs?
