No BBC's after rescan

Have a cheap Toshiba 19" TV with built in saorview in the kitchen.Used to be able to get all the BBC's but wife tells me can't get them anymore since we rescanned. Strangely, we can get UTV,CH 4,E4,More 4,ITV2,CH 5 and some of the +1 channels so it seems to be receiving some sort of signal. We're located in Blackrock,Louth so not sure which Northern Irish transmitter we get spillover from. Is it the TV's fault or just a crappy aerial?
On a side note,we can only get Irish channels on the bedroom TV(Walker with built in saorview),no UK channels at all. Have Sky on main TV.

Can you scan individual channel numbers / frequencies e.g. Channel 27, 522 MHz? Both Divis and Camlough are full strength with me in Dundalk, including the BBC's.

Cheers, tried that on kitchen TV and said signal quality 0% and signal level fluctuated between 0 and 78% but still pulled in the BBC's.Thanks a mill, now I can watch the football in peace!!

Unfortunately, wouldn't work on bedroom TV,scanned but no channels appeared.Would that be a cabling issue?

Signal meters in receivers can be unreliable, only professional meter readings will give a true reading.

How many aerials for Saorview and Freeview reception?
How is the signal split to the various TV points?
Is there a masthead or distribution amp in the aerial setup?

    4 tvs being fed.
Not sure how they're being split, presume some sort of splitter box in the attic.
Haven't a clue what a masthead or distribution amp is, sorry!!
We live in an old bungalow so I'm guessing the cabling to the tvs is ancient and needs to be replaced but I'm smashed broke at the moment so can't afford to pay out big money to replace it.

I would look at the aerial and how the signal is split/amplified before replacing the cable.
