    Hey,

I'm looking to buy a June 08 Seat Leon FR 170BHP diesel in white with 80k miles on the clock. I've found one for 7,200£ (8800e) and the Vrt is 2,612e based on emissions of 161g/m.

Does this seem dear? The car isn't a bad price up the North but I fear that the VRT kills it, and will I have an issue selling it on,

    Cheers

You could have this one, a year younger, for €4k cheaper...

I presume that car hasn't been VRT'd as it has UK plates on it, VRT is working out as 2.4K on that model also selling a car on UK plates on the republic (wexford) makes it look like there was something wrong with the car so they tried to shift it before they paid the VRT - it's also the cheapest on carzone by a mile

    thanks though

Are you looking to buy and immediately sell? 90% of the time, you'll make a loss on a car. No question. You can definitely buy a better car for less money in the UK, but generally its only favourable if its for your personal use. If you want to make money, your better off hitting the auctions or stolen / recovered. Often you get serious machinery for half nothing. A C63 AMG went for 8k GBP last week for example.

If I'm not mistaken the FR and the Cupra are the same model? Pretty rare car here and sought after by a select few (Those that don't want a GTI or similar) Probably a car I'd buy and I'd often trawl DoneDeal to see do they pop up.
