I am a nurse and damaged my back( bulging disk l4-l5) doing a training programme in the hospital I work in...I am thinking about claiming as I have been out of work a lot and am in constant pain. Also the work we were training to do directly contradicts what we were trained to do in manual handling. Just wondering if any nurses have gone down this road before??

Are you a member of the INMO? If so you have access to a legal advise helpline and they will advise you on how to proceed, your personal injury in the work place will also be covered. If you are with the INMO give the head office a call to get the number.
