    hey,

Have only ever been to Rome but we're thinking of heading back to Italy for honeymoon.

We're thinking of a beach resort for a few days and then then maybe travel about. Has anyone any recommendations?.

A friend of mine got married in Positano. Fab location. They honeymooned in Sorrento and Capri. Capri looks so nice.

Also been to Santa margherita in the north west which is lovely. It's near the cinque terre and portofino which was fab.

So much to do in Italy.

I travelled for a few days from Lucca to Bologna with a very quick day trip to Venice squeezed in - was a lovely area and could highly recommend it

We had our honeymoon on the Amalfi Coast. It was incredible. I really couldnt recommend it enough.

Suggestions other folks already gave you are very good. Cinque Terre in Liguria (in the North) and the "napolitan area" (Capri, Amalfi) are gorgeous places and have beautiful seaside landscape.

If you're looking for a beach resort the Tirrenic side (so the mentioned above places) may not be so great tho. Cinque terre are just very mountains pending on the sea, and Capri is quite a rocky place too. If you want flat sand you might like the Adriatic side. Go in the South for nice beaches and cleen water. Puglia should be great in this case.

    Hey,

An interesting place to visit is the Aeolian Islands and we also loved the beach of San Vito Lo Capo - picnic on the beach with pizza & good bottle of red wine as the sun goes down! Lovely :)
