So since I bought my CDF in January I've been struggling to get comfortable on it. The LBS did a setup when I bought it (just by sight). I changed the saddle after about a month as it was unbearable.

I was able to get comfy in the seated position but my hands are always a problem. I bought an adjustable stem to try and play with some positions but I always feel like I'm rest too much on my hands when in the hoods. The only exception is when I remove some spaces but then I struggle to reach the brakes properly (I always find it had to brake in the hoods so usually switch to the drops).

Its got so bad I was considering a switch to a flat bar but before I do is it worth getting one of those pro bike fits. There is a LBS that does them but its 150€.

A bike fit is a great investment if done right although 150 sounds on the high side to me.

Try and get some personal recommendations either here or from a local club member. Just because someone did a course somewhere and calls themselves a bike fitter doesn't mean they're any good.

Sounds like your bike is too big for you ? What size is the frame and what is your height/ inseam.

Height 5' 6", inseam was just under 28" and the current size is 50cm.

Have you see these guys? They were recommended to me.

I'm leaning toward a visit there over the next week or two. I just don't feel 100% comfortable on my new racer. Although back pain is non-existent when cycling, I'm finding my arms ache a lickle and they never used to on my last now-retired racer.

150euro seems a tad high as here prices start at 80euro pending what needs doing.

    Hope that helps,
