Pity they don't have one without any flavour. Could sprinkle it on your cornflakes in the morning.

    Same after effects presumably?

burn off the bulking agents and inject it which is what will happen ten minutes after its launch in Ireland

    Tobacco flavoured tomatoes, actually.

Never catch on. And is alcohol not flammable, therefore, burning off the bulking agents might not work too well. Seeing as we're being all serious. The other lads pre-flavoured macaroni sounds savage tho.

A really exciting development, can't wait to test it out myself.

It's all balls about snorting it, according to their own website.

Just another gimmick for stupid drinkers, like paying €5 for a cola shot that cost ten cents, or half your mortgage for colourings and sugar in a bottle.

I hope to see powdered water some day. Just add water.

Smuggling drink will never be the same.

By the autumn, it will be legal to sell seven flavours of Palcohol in the US, including Cosmopolitan, Mojito, and a so-called ‘Powderita,’ which its creators say “tastes just like a Margarita”.

    http://www.independent.co.uk/life-style/food-and-drink/news/palcohol-us-government-reveals-it-has-approved-powdered-alcohol-9273019.html

This is going to cause uproar on the Joe show, they've had to add a bulking agent to put people off snorting it.

Roll on the autumn : )
    Appropriate user name, ;)

Just imagine getting it mixed up with the sugar!

    Tea, three spoons please..... HIC!

Surely snorting it would alleviate many of alcohol's harmful effects? As it would not have to pass through the digestive system

Goes into the blood stream quicker and ultimately damages your brain/liver quicker.

Some people snort shorts for this reason.

    Packaging is new: http://media.npr.org/assets/img/2014/04/21/palcohol_slide-240092c7f5d0fd0afd0709a5dde92ffd6d111897-s40-c85.jpg

Would this legal here? I know alcohol is but getting inebriated by anything that you can't get in the pint shop isn't.

So while I was going through my news feed on facebook this article about powered alcohol "Palcohol" has popped up.

    Any opinions about this?

I in my opinion disagree with this, as I feel alcohol should be limited and certainly not be sold in powdered version. Alcohol is dangerous drug and I hate how everybody is just overlooking it.
They say that canabis is dangerous but in comparison to alcohol its harmless and is beneficial for health. Alcohol is destructive drug that leads to awful addictions which lead to depressions, danger to one self, liver failure and so on.

Selling powdered alcohol is just like giving people cocain. Do they really think that everybody who will buy Palcohol is going to be mixing it into water? It was mentioned it can be snorted, it shouldn't be, but it can be. Once this thing gets into hands of the youngers it'll be snorted up the nose right away.

It will be good for the market, but not for the health benefits of our people.

Surely people will just whack 10 sachets into a glass of water and end up out of their bin.

Burns your nose if you snort it apparently.
Does make high doses of alcohol way too accessible though.

"So we hit up the experts to find out if it's an urban legend or if it's legit.

"There's been documented cases of people going to the hospital with alcohol poisoning just from utilizing it that way," Thomas said.
    "

And then they don't list or link to a single documented case besides hearsay. Odd that.
