We have agreed a price on a house, our solicitor has advised us on getting a engineers report done.
The house is detached was built in the 1960's and is 2500 sq feet. What can I expect to pay for this report

I paid €250 recently inc vat for the same job from an engineer with a good reputation. Much smaller house though, a run down old cottage.

My brother recently paid €400 to a different engineer for a report on a house around 2,500sq ft.
