*Sigh ... 3 months into unemployment and last week i had to go to one of those mandatory attendance "how to find a job" meetings. Being treated like im six years old.

Now a week later i recieve a letter asking for proof of me looking for work, has anyone else got one of these forms? All i've been doing is handing out cv's... im obviously not going to ask the person im handing cv's to for their name and number to prove i've handed them a cv. How stupid are these people at the welfare office? seriously like?

I'm also not one for sending emails asking for jobs. How do i prove i've been looking for work? could i stick down some random crap or do they actually check this out?
It's not my fault my company went into involvency and i was made redundant without any possible notice. Do these people have any hearts ? A measly 140 euro a week to pay the bills.

Did you get a letter to fill in names and stuff of places youv applied for?

Write down the names of the shops etc youve handed cv's into!

Time to move into the 21st century and start using email and the internet to apply for jobs.

Use printouts from these applications as proof.

Its part of your responsibility as a jobseeker to be able to produce proof of your efforts to get work if requested. Those forms are sent out automatically to all jobseekers. I fail to see how this makes the welfare staff stupid. Whats the attitude for? They're only doing their jobs. Obviously you won't have records of every CV you've handed in but do keep any records (emails, letters etc) or replies from jobs you've applied for. A lot of places don't even acknowledge receipt of CVs anymore, nothing you can do about that to be fair.

You applied for "Job seekers" your getting "Job seekers" but you didn't realise you would need proof that you are "Job seeking"? And its the welfare staff that are "stupid? ...I see.......
Write down the name of as many of the places you submitted your CV to as you can remember. That's all you've done so what more can you say?

jaysus, a lot of people in here who got out of the wrong side of the bed!

Send a few C.v's online and print out the details of the job.

Write a small letter to attach to the form, informing whoever will read it that you have been handing out physical copies of c.v's and haven't been hearing back.

    They're human. They'll understand.

This is what happens to Jobseeker's who don't keep records of CV's they have sent. Joan Burton style
