How long to hear back about jury duty?

I was called for jury duty at the start of the month and immediately sent a letter back asking to be excused for certain reasons. That was nearly two weeks ago and I haven't heard anything back. The date I was called for is quite soon now so im getting a bit anxious, how long does it normally take to get a reply?

Ring the court first thing Tuesday morning and make sure they got your letter.
