The way you are feeling now won't last forever - trust me.

You are back to work in a couple of months time. Look forward to that. When you are back you can focus on building up your savings.

Likewise, your boyfriend won't be as busy as he is now indefinitely. Have a chat with him, tell him how you are feeling and make sure to do your best to spend enough 'quality time' with him as is possible at the moment.

Being stuck at home with little money isn't good but try to use your time the best you can (focus on getting over your injury, read, learn something new etc). You'll be back to normal in no time.

You're currently not working but unlike the vast majority of unemployed you have a job waiting for you once you're back to health.

You have a boyfriend who is busy but working hard to improve his situation with a return to education while still holding down a job.

You're touching 30 but still in the prime of your life.

Easy for me to say, but maybe it's all about perspective.

I have an idea of what you are going through at the moment. A few years ago I was out of work for a period of time as I was not well.
I took plenty of rest and ate well which long term helped me feel and look better. Don't be in any rush back to work as it can take time for the body to heal. You need to follow your consultant or doctors advice.

I know at the moment you have not a lot of money but at least you have a job to go back to once your well. You will build up your savings once you go back to work.
Also if you worked at all this year you maybe able to claim some tax back. Just write to you local tax office - given them your name, address and pps number. Tell them you are not working at the moment due to illness and ask if you could claim tax back.
If you are entitled to a refund they will send you a cheque.

I know that you would like if your boyfriend was around more but long term he is doing something that will benefit him.

Rather than felling sorry for yourself at the moment I would be doing the following
Start to eat properly and take some vitamins. Get in contact with friends and see if you could met them 1 or 2 nights a week for a coffee and a chat.
Join a local library as you get borrow books, use the computer ect.
You can sit outside and enjoy this good weather when the rest of us are stuck in work.

If your boyfriend is putting you down and not making you feel good about yourself, you are right to have a think about the relationship.
