So I feel like I'm the only person who plays Monster Hunter in Ireland. I have never met another person who has the game or who has even played it. I don't know why it's not popular, Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate is one of the best games on the 3DS. I can't wait for the 4th to come out so I can just play online.

    You're not

There's a thread in Games\Games about it where you'll see who was playing it.

Problem is, its on 3ds. Since MH3Us release there's been Fire Emblem, Zelda, Animal Crossing, Pokémon and a host of other life sinks.

Don't forget though, you can multiplayer up with WiiU owners too, and use the WiiU packet relay for 3ds online hunting

Alright thanks for letting me know about the other thread. Also, aren't Fire Emblem and Zelda not multiplayer games? Like I would think people would enjoy the multiplayer in Monster Hunter.

Why would it matter if they were multi-player or not? Both games have good length campaigns and have plenty of extra collectables and chapters to play, replayability in games isn't just about multi-player.

Sorry, what I meant is that I would have thought Monster Hunter would be more popular since you can join up with other players and hunt monsters together. I wasn't taking a shot at Fire Emblem or Zelda. Also I think Monster Hunter has great replay ability, seeing as how many quests there are.

Haha, I know you weren't but in my experience there are some people drawn more towards extras and collectables than the multiplayer aspects of games, myself included.

You should try throwing up your friend code, you might get a few more requests for games that way.

I would do that but Monster hunter 3 ultimate doesn't have any online play so I have to wait for Monster Hunter 4 to be able to do that. I just have to go looking for people who also play it somehow :L

It does have online on 3ds, but only via a WiiU running the mh3 packet relay app and you can only join other hunts, not host your own. On a good day you'll get one for under €200 - a lot cheaper than cryogenically freezing yourself till next year!

Not suggesting the games I listed were better, just newer and shinier.

This^ MH was one of the games I was looking forward to on the 3DS when I got it, just haven't had the time to play at all, which is a shame, as I loved Tri on the PSP, and the latest one seems like a massive improvement.

I think 3 Ultimate is one of the best, definitely an improvement off Tri, I'm sure it would be even better if others played it :P

Well damn, now I really want to buy it. May treat myself to it after my May exams. Do you play it with the circle pad pro actually? Worth getting?

Haha I'd suggest getting it :D You facing the Leaving Cert or College exams? I don't use the circle pad pro, I think it's playable without it, and while the controls at first are tricky, you will easily get the hang of it and there's so many weapon types to choose from :D

CPP is a must in my opinion. Many prefer XL over regular 3ds given the scale. Prepare yourself for the worst opening 3 hours of any game, followed by untold hours of awesomeness.

    College exams, fun times! :P

Grand, I won't rush out and buy the CPP without giving the game a lash without it first!

I have been meaning to get around to playing it, it is still sitting in its box, but I have such a backlog of games to get through first.

I have far too big a backlog to get through, and then new games are announced..it's a tough life :pac:

    Yo.

I think I am Ireland's primary peddler of this vile candy we call monster hunter.

    (Loads more in that topic)

I certainly still play on 3DS, but you can't show up a full year after release and expect discussion to still be thumping on such a general forum :P

I'm in Dublin, and my friend who is VERY new to the game lives in Newry.

Once I've couched him through being higher than HR2, we could arrange something to meet in the middle.

Whenever you guys are ready drop me a pm or something.

Hi guys, I finally found some hunters here :)
I am Brazilian and I arrived in Ireland 3 months ago but couldn t find anyone to play with. I live in Dublin and I would love to meet more hunters, I had a facebook group for hunters in my town in Brazil, we usd to meet every saturday to hunt. I think that if we create a facebook group it would be nice and easier to do a hunting meeting.

If anyone lives in dublin and wants to hunt just call me :)
I am HR33 (g rank) hammer user but also play with lance and bow
