using the kids to shoplift

Twice today i see mothers using their kids to steal. First lady had put item into child's hand, 4-5 years old, child puts it into a bag that she was holding , mother picks up more items and hands them to the child . This went on at least 5 times that i seen . I thought nothing of it at 1st thinking it was cute that the little girl was doing her shopping. I went on my business anyway when i noticed her walking towards the queue wit one item in her hand , so i stood behind them with the items in the bag. next thing i hear made my heart sink.. Nudges the kid and says "it will be okay" quietly to her, " and aren't you a big girl now "," you can go and wait for me outside on the wall an don't forget not to talk to strangers" . She made sure that everyone heard that last part!! She goes and pays for the one thing and walks on out. I stop her over at this wall and ask her to come back inside shop with the child and which she does. She admits to it straight away as soon as manager mentions 'gardai ' but was adamant that she didn't see child pick stuff up before hand. The usuall ' im sorry' with tears come. but manager was way pissed over it as to using the kid to steal . Gardai soon arrived took details and let them on their way. . Later in the day i check back cctv as i see a client exit the store as im outside on break. When i check back my heart once again sunk when i clearly see this lady take items and nods at kid 7-10yo .kid takes his backpack off shoulders and hands it to mother. She puts them in bag and kid puts it back on back. Kid walks on out the door followed by mother , when i seen her walk out i watched her getting into her car. Same time as her previous visit. With same reg. Same car but the color was different. Which was verified by cctv.. Green to black and off they drove. I was and still absolutely discusted at the fact that these young kids who know no better have no chance in life with parents like this . Their harmless minds corrupted .
    Harsh reality but true!

Just need to get this off my chest .

You could use that wall of text to distract the shop assistant while your kids shoplift.

Looks like they stole his paragraphs when he wasn't looking.

Do you work in the store, or did you just take it upon yourself to follow mother no.1 out? I'm assuming you do as you reviewed the CCTV footage.

How is mother no.2 a client?

Why do people write such a big wall of text and expect us to be able to understand it?

Or you put the midget in the bag to make it look it already full, he jump out, you fill, they both win . And everyone knows that a midget only eat half our food portions so it be split 2/3 1/3

    Trained shoplifting children.

And where can we hire such a child for the day.

OP saw a child put items in his/her bag. Mother encouraged it. Mother told child to sit outside shop. Garda were called. Tears were spilled.
    I lost interest after this.

Two mothers giving goods to their children to place in bags, then send the kids out of the shop. OP to the rescue!

    Magical colour-changing cars.

OP sickened by such poor parenting skills.

Shopping implies she pays for the goods.

Do you even understand your own thread?

That would only induce obesity, rather pay with cash.

What you do is send the kids in... this gets security busy and you walk out with a brand new science oven.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,440 ✭✭✭Stavros Murphy

Huh, they're doing it all wrong. If you train them properly, you can send them out alone with a simple to follow list- while you enjoy a curry and Eastenders on the couch. These parents clearly need to learn to display more trust in their offspring.

They always pay for something. Cheap items. Mostly always , they feel its lesser on the eyes

So paying for everything is more on the eyes?

May I please have some of whatever you're on?

I hope I don't get banned for this, but what nationality is this security guard, as I assume he is one, or else a stalker in a supermarket.

It was the mothers a few minutes ago!

Are these multi-generational crime waves a major issue?

Paying for nothing is more on the eyes. Do you know nothing of shop security

I'm not sure you want what he's on either. Shop security jobs dont pay great.

Very true. Fagin set the tone. I have never regarded older people with fingerless gloves in the same light since.

What has nationality got to do with it.?

Well it would be helpful to know if we're discussing shoplifting Irish kids or shoplifting Belgian kids. Them Belgians are fierce light-fingered by nature.

I once saw a woman stuff a roast chicken down her son's jumper at the K.C.R garage. It was hilarious. Poor kid tried to act cool then when the chicken started to burn him he started hopping around.

shoplifting for food is not. But using your own child to steal is low .

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 4,916 ✭✭✭shopaholic01

I think I need to spawn a few shop lifters. I could save a fortune and they could rob their own food and clothes, and the paint to change the colour of the car every week.

Sure it is easier to reach the bottom shelf if you are small.

Should she use somebody else's child and add kidnapping to the list of charges?
May as well be hung for a sheep as a leg of lamb I suppose!

The child seemed to be about 6 or 7. They walked together to the till and the mother sent the kid out to the Hi-Ace waiting outside while she paid for some sweets.

Nottin much on the bottom shelf worth stealing though. Just red lemonade and 20kg bags of dogfood.
