Absolutely dominating the breakdown, easily protecting our own ball, even sloppy ball.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 479 ✭✭armchaircoach

    Odriscoll going off

Looks like an accidental shoulder to his chest while attempting a tackle on a rising player

Little grubber seems to be the tactic of the day. Obviously we don't think much of the handling of their back three.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 24,258 ✭✭✭✭Buer

Looks like a rather sore bash to the face for BOD there.

    Why did O'Driscoll go off?

    haha gift for Cronin

Well, we know who should replace BOD.

Hah, nice step by Cronin there.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,258 ✭✭✭✭Losty Dublin

Well, Cronin can still run in spite of a fair bit of gut on him :)

Freak collision with one of the Treviso players toppling backwards and cracking BOD in the face with his head.

Is it a temporary replacement or permanent?

Never mind, he answered it. :P

Cronin pounces on a loose ball from a sloppy Line out and sprints 50m for a try under the posts

I'll give MOC a buzz and let you know! :pac:

    That was a nasty collision

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 28,119 Mod ✭✭✭✭Podge_irl

    Ouch.

Very heavy clash while going for a high ball. Looks like a Leinster and Treviso player down.

    BOD back on.

    Hes back on now

Nasty collision there. Both players land heavily.

Back to the Payne incident we go...

    If anything that looked worse

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,433 ✭✭✭✭thomond2006

Loamanu's leg was shaking violently after the collision. Scary.

Cheers, would just be disappointed to see him go off so early, so good to see him back on.

Leamanu off injured after a nasty collision in the air with kirchner.

Well to clarify the rules, if you injure the other guy its a citing, if you nut yourself it's play on apparently

From the far end angle, it actually did look quite similar with the Treviso lad in the role of Payne. Both watching the ball and a collision with one player way above the other.

I actually think Payne was lucky not to suffer a similar fate to the Treviso player in this case

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 24,258 ✭✭✭✭Buer

From looking at the north and south ends there, there's actually a surprisingly good crowd there. Not a full house but looks like it could be over 16k.

Yes probably, but I think neither Payne nor leamanu acted in bad faith, they were both going for the ball. I think Payne just got shafted by a bad ref, with a sham of a citing to try and legitimise the decision. And because of that decision everytime there is a similar collision in the air the question is going to be asked what makes this one different that its not a card and citing.

Treviso player finally carted off. Hope he's ok, that looked nasty.

Jesus what has happened to Gopperth's hands in the last few weeks

    Reid continues to impress/surprise

I didn't see the Payne incident live, but images seemed to show Payne underneath Goode, here the were 50/50 kirchener slightly ahead and as a result the center caught him full on unawares.

Jamie lannister has better effing hands than jimmy gopperth!!!

Shocking number of dropped balls alright. Those 8 weeks without a game probably didn't help!

Ruddock has become an absolute force of nature this season

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,658 ✭✭✭Kanrith

    That was easy.

The angle from the far end behind the Treviso goal showed ZK well above.

    Too easy

Have to say, although it didn't make headlines, Cronin can feel aggrieved with how he was dropped for the two big games (Munster, Toulon) when he was having a cracking season. Although today is perfect for him he's having a great game

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 24,258 ✭✭✭✭Buer

    Just pummelling through them.

As derided as he is, Fanning has been hugely effective and is wrecking the Treviso defensive line with his carrying off the inside ball.

Lovely break by O'Driscoll there, pity it was knocked on.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 4,668 ✭✭✭Mahatma Geansai

Pass forward by BOD there, maybe?

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 28,119 Mod ✭✭✭✭Podge_irl

Yeah, always thought Strauss was brought back in more on reputation than anything. I think he's ultimately the better player but he did nothing to take the jersey from Cronin.

Nice break from BOD ends in knock on.

    Going to miss that guy

The break was good obviously but that pass was beautiful, threaded the needle

Bonus point before half time would be great.

And then get McGrath on ASAP

Although OK today Boss has gone backwards this season and maybe McGrath isn't up to it, but he needs this kind of experience with a quality backline so we can find out sooner rather than later

There were about three punches thrown by the Treviso player. Lucky to be staying on.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,658 ✭✭✭Kanrith

    Way too easy.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 24,258 ✭✭✭✭Buer

    And scene.

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 28,119 Mod ✭✭✭✭Podge_irl

    BP try from ZK.

    This is almost annoyingly easy.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,658 ✭✭✭Kanrith

    Our handling has improved anyway.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 4,668 ✭✭✭Mahatma Geansai

There won't be too many happy bunnies after Gopperth creating that try with a brilliant break. :pac:

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,636 ✭✭✭✭Tox56

Jesus what has happened to Treviso this season

Thats the BP anyway, great stuff. Wouldn't mind Macken on, game is made for him and BOD needs protecting
