Have people noticed that when BBC Three is gone off satellite and terrestrial broadcasting
folks in republic of ireland will not be able to pick it up online unless they pay for a VPN service?
BBC iPlayer is great but i do pay for the service.
it would be great if BBC allowed Ireland pick up the service without a need for vpn

moderator, I know this is not strictly a satellite issue

The British pay the tv licence to be able to view BBC content.

International viewers pay to view the content on iplayer.

Its the way it should be to be honest.

I pay 5 pound s a month and great great value from the i Player to be honest

BBC 4 now seems to be gone as well.

BBC Three and Four only come on the air at 7pm. BBC childrens channels use their frequencies up to 7pm. BBC Three is not ceasing on satellite until next year.

Wouldn't miss BBC3, to be honest. I rarely watch it. BBC4 is a far better channel; some fantastic music programmes on there.

You can do better than £5 a month if you shop around. If you are prepared to pay a full 12 month subscription in advance, you will get a much better deal. I currently have a vpn service which cost me $45 for 12 months. Have it now for about 4 months, working perfectly, mainly use it for BBC Radio Five Live and Talksport football commentaries, which are geo blocked on normal internet radio.

Doesn't the BBC Trust have to ok this first though? BBC 6 Music was for the chop originally but was saved.

there is cutting on bbc3, sky1 and and the fox channel

if you watch the episodes on rte2 and 3e there are more adult words and violent action than their uk counterparts

if you don't notice the cuts you need to watch again
