Pedal Valve Death

So mid jam the other night, my EBS valvedrive dies. For about 30 seconds before it went silent, the volume gradually started fading out until nothing was coming through at all. Is this what happens when valves go?

It can be a sign of a dead valve. How long have you had the pedal with the same tube? Looks like it's easy to replace, and 12AX7 tubes aren't terribly costly to replace - may be worth doing anyway.

Cheers, I got the pedal second hand last summer so I've no idea how old tbh. I'd just started running it off a T Rex fuel tank

If the valve is supposed to run at high voltage, your power supply might not be feeding it enough. Did it come with its own power supply?

I've a valve pedal that can't be run off other power supplies.
