transport to hospital

    broken wrist and have to attend fracture clinic. around 60ks away and no one who cantake me and no public transport

    dr in a and e told me not to drive; i have been doing perforce butconcerned lest more surgery is needed and i cannot drive home.

    went in by ambulance and they supplied a taxi home. pensioner on medical card.

    disrtict nurse told me to drivebut had no idea re transport

    If you lived in my town the local Order of Malta would take you. Is there an Order of Malta Unit near you?

    thank you; i will check that. was sure there must be something but i am so far out here.

    this is a spin off from centralising a and e services and the hospital has contracts with taxi firms.
