With game of thrones, house of cards, a wife and family, I have enough drama in my life without adding to the list.

    Is it on Netflix btw?

The moon was pretty decent this evening. Well worth a look as it rose.

Sandstorms in the Sahara whipping dust into the atmosphere?

When I saw it I couldn't take my eyes off it. The moon looked absolutely massive, in all senses of the word :D
When I propose I'm definitely doing it during a blood moon.
    What a thing of beauty.

First time I heard this was in Germany in the 80s. Jimmy Young was a favourite of Hilda Margaret Roberts and it was on a show ......... maybe the JY Prog as he liked to call it. He also recorded The Green Glens of Antrim - when I was making a horse out of the dog :)
Both recorded in the early 50s
    Both are beautiful songs/lyrics

I shall now go out to my back garden and check the moon. As I have nothing else to do.

Have you considered cocooning yourself in duct tape?

Just had a gander but it's too cloudy, but if it's anything like last night's moon, then yes, eerrily beautiful

The moon is an amazing object to just stare at! The past few nights (excluding tonight :() the sky's been crystal clear, and the moon has been fucking huge! Then sometimes it'll be tiny, but like a spotlight, other times it's so bright you're wondering it someone's left a light on outside.

I think if the sun worshipping pagans of the country were still alive today, even they would have to rethink things. :D

You have a very valid point there. I remember I was in Portugal last year and crashed out on the roof with a mate looking at the milky way. Blew my mind just seeing it, I mean, you always see pictures of it, but due to light pollution I'd never seen it in the flesh. Just lying there looking at it was a brilliant experience. Of course the inevitable drunken " we're so insignificant" conversation followed, but my god, there's some seriously amazing sights up for grabs right above our heads!

Teddy - 0ld bean! Just on my way to the cot ........ at top of stairs saw moon rise over neighbour's barn, kind of soft yellow (according to Mrs Wily) but it's large. Clear sky tonight after it dumped 4" snow last night. Bitter cold. Last Monday it was about +18C. A bit like home really but more extreme :)

Eh, we are unable to bring you this moon due to technical difficulties.

    B*stard clouds.

Clothed or au naturelle? If, by chance, you saw a green moon turning purple and back to green and back to purple again ........ you were really fluthered. You were staring at the empty bottles of Mateus Rose.

I remember someone telling me he was leaving a pub around the time of the first Moon landings and he saw a pissed drunk fella shaking his fist angrily at the Moon shouting:

    'GET OFF OUR FUCKING MOON'.
