Evans Cycles Order

I ordered some accessories from Evans over 3 weeks ago. The goods were despatched by regular mail 25/03 but I have not received the package as yet - I presume I can consider it to be lost in transit at this stage? It was my first order with Evans - has anyone experienced this on orders from Evans?

I received an order from Ribble Cycles yesterday that was despatched by regular mail 09/04 - this is what heightened my concern on the Evans order.

Some stuff I got from Evans recently too about a week. At three weeks, I'd be concerned too - call them with the order ref and check that they are using a correct address for you

Yes, I emailed them yesterday afternoon after taking delivery of Ribble order - hopefully I will hear back during the day.

Thanks for that - the order despatch confirmation email contained the correct address etc. etc.

    How did you pay? PayPal?

I paid for the order via my PayPal account. Obviously, I have not yet raised an issue through PayPal, it is far too early for that. I will await a response from Evans - I am sure they will do their best to ascertain its whereabouts etc. I am not so sure if the fact that the goods were despatched via regular mail affects the issue?

Happened to me with Evan's, they will probably ask you to wait until 28 days and if nothing has arrived they will dispatch your order again or ask if you want a refund.

Thanks for that krissovo - however, I do think that a 28 day waiting period is unreasonable. I would think that in all probability if it has not been delivered at this stage, it is reasonably safe to assume that it has either been lost in transit or returned to Evans. I will wait and see.

I have found them very slow in the past, maybe two weeks, three weeks does
    seem ridiculous.

Thanks for that, bear in mind here that it is three weeks from date of despatch.

This is one of the reasons I stopped using Evan Cycles. I moved to Chain Reaction Cycles and haven't looked back.

Yes, I have also used CRC and Ribble and have found both extremely fast and reliable. This was my first order with Evans as neither Ribble nor CRC had the particular items in stock.

Used Evans twice never any bother within a week both times.

Very impressed with Merlin ordered around 1am last Friday morning shipped that day and I got it Monday

+1 for Merlin, ordered loads of stuff, usually fast postage, great customer service every time I needed it.

No problems with a bike ordered from Evants, either.
