Hi guys a mate of nine has a Nissan note for about 4years in the last week the airbag light came on for no reason,he has reset it but it stays off for about a minute then straight back.

Has anyone any experience what can cause this?

Could be a dodgy seat belt sensor for one. There's a load of different things that it could be.

Thanks,I know there's lots it could be but was hoping it could just be a normal fault with the notes

An airbag light comes on for a reason, could be a wire, a sensor, the airbag itself or the module.
People always think that modern cars show fault codes for no reason and it's just a malicious bug by the manufacturer to get you in so they can charge you to reset it.
    That is not the case.
Error codes are your friend, they tell you what is wrong with your car, to make it easier to fix.
Of course a lot of mechanics just blindly read the code and then start replacing random bits in the hope of accidentally hitting on the right one.
That is the reason I get the fault code read and make up my own mid what's wrong.
I once had a low fuel pressure warning on my car and the mechanic said "Right, we'll just replace tank, sender unit, fuel line, injector pump, injectors, it's gotta be one of those".
This process is called Easter Egging. It is done by people who don't have the brains or the willingness to logically follow an error and think out what might be causing it.
