I have purchased a house in Cavan which is unfinished. All of the internal works including plumbing and electrical work needs to be done. I live in Australia and the house will be rented out when it is finished so not looking for an expensive kitchen. Can anyone recommend the best place to get a kitchen and is it best to get them to measure and supply it or get our own guy to do that.

Looking for advice on kitchen walls. New ivory colour shaker style kitchen fitted with glossy black granite laminate counter tops. Plasterboard walls are in poor shape so carpenter tells I should tile walls. Some say wall tiles in kitchens are old fashioned? What style/colour of tiles would you recommend for walls and for backsplash. Or should I just get walls plastered and fit upstands

cash and carry kitchens are good value, they don't install but will point you at someone that will.

Thanks for that. I'll get onto them when the house gets to that stage.
