    Hi All,
I'm doing the Etape Ras Mumhan this Saturday and was wondering if I would be allowed to use Aerobars on the bike. Totally understandable if not as it is a group ride to begin with, but I usually end up riding on my own during Sportives anyway. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Why would you want aero bars? It's 140 odd km with 1800m of climbing....and you'll get funny looks!!!!!!

You will be eaten if riders see you have them on. For yourself its best only to use them in TTs or triathlons.

No don't use them at all. If other riders see you they will be unpleasant to put it mildly

Thanks for all the replies lads. I thought I might get a few odd looks alright. I know the course though and thought there's plenty places they'd come in handy. I take it from the tone of some of the answers they would be considered dangerous? But as I said I wasn't planning on sticking to a group anyway. Thanks for saving me the embarrassment, I'm pretty new to all this.
