Cabin bag - Items allowed question

    Hi All.

I've traveled loads of places.. but I always check a bag and don't have to worry about liquids etc.

But I'm going to Manchester (ryanair) at the end of the month and don't need to check a bag.

I know gels/liquids etc have to be below 100ml and in a clear bag for checking etc.

But I'm not sure about Deodorant. I've read that Aerosol's are not allowed in the cabin.. I've purchased one of those tiny "travel" ones.. (think they are 35ml ) would this be allowed ?

    thanks.

Oh one more quesiton about check in..

I know I check in online and don't need to go to the counter.. I can just go to security and then to the boarding gate.

My flight is at 6:30am - gate closes 20 min before flight.. so if i'm past security and all by and in the queue to get on by 6 there won't be a problem ? . .

I heard some people saying i need to be there hours before hand... But i was thinking of getting to the airport at about 5:15 .. security 20 - 30 min.. then walk to gates and get there for 6 ? sound ok ?

I fly about 3-4 times a year with Ryanair to the UK with hand luggage only.

Deodorant - I take the little travel sized ones and have never been stopped, just put it the clear bag along with your other 100ml toiletries.

Being at your gate for 6 will be fine, you'll more than likely be right at the end of the queue but the seats are allocated on Ryanair now so it doesn't really matter.

ETA: Last couple of times I have flown, security has been craxy busy and I've been queuing for a long time.
Just an FYI, might want to give yourself an extra 10 minutes? Better to be at the gate early and chill with a coffee than be rushing around

the size wasn't the issue.. it was the fact that it was a spray/aerosol.

thanks. I'll bring the small one.. if they take it off me it's fine only cost €1.50.. also thanks for the gate info.. I've priority boarding booked.. so I can join that Q.. just wanted to check I didn't have to be there ages before hand like the old days.

    Thanks guys.

That time of the morning is always crazy busy at the airport especially at weekends but arriving at 5.15am should be fine for a 6.30am flight as long as you dont plan to do any major shopping or eating. Its plenty of time to get through, grab something to eat and drink (takeaway) and walk down to the Ryanair gates.

I bring the mini spray deodorant as hand luggage all the time. In fact I have bought one after security in a different airports a few time so they must be allowed.

I would aim to be there at five rather than 5.15 but that is because I always get stuck behind the people in security who wait until the last second to remove their coats/take out their laptops and hold everyone up.

What do you mean by liquid?
Some things are evidently liquid, like drinks and perfume. Others are less obvious, like gels, pastes, lotions, mixture of liquids and solids and the contents of aerosols. Some examples of these are toothpastes, hair gels, face creams, liquid cosmetics, lip-gloss, deodorants, perfumes and shaving foam.

Yes its fine, just put it in the clear plastic bag with everything else.

airport can be crazy at that time ... your are better being there earlier rather than later, as it can be a long hike to the ryan air terminals...
