New van registering / deregistering

    For a dealer once a van is registered and lets say next day deal falls through. Can they deregister or are they technically stuck with a vehicle with one owner.

    They can usually derigester it once it hasn't been taxed.
    If its a 'new' van from Northern Ireland for example, its more complicated.

    I don't know if its the correct one but I found the following form. As you can see it seems it can only be done in exceptional circumstances so you may not qualify.

    You can't deregister it usually. Its up to whoever registered it in the first place.
