WTD: Trp 925.1r brake

Have been trawling the internet trying to find one of these:

    http://www.trpbrakes.com/category.php?productid=1160&catid=182

It's a replacement for a direct mount rear brake on my Felt B16 Tri bike which, due to the release sticking out the side, will not give enough clearance for a Stages power meter which I'd like to fit to the bike.

If anyone know's where I might be able to get one or better yet, has one they'd like to sell me, that'd be very much appreciated.

    Cheers

    @ OP

If noc231073's offer is unsuitable for any reason, I have this, as new, (only used for a handful of TTs about 2 yrs back). I haven't a clue if it will do the job for you but you are welcome to look / check it out with no obligation, if you want.

See attached pic - can supply actual pics and web links later if you want.

Thanks for the offer but the 922.1 is a dual-pivot and I need the single bolt version.

Thanks, but the one you have is the 925r which wouldn't be suitable. You can see from the link I posted that the 925.1 has an attachment for the cable noodle which keeps it flush to the frame.

I've literally looked everywhere and can't find anyone stocking it. Very frustrating! Was hoping to go for stages on price but might have to think about P2M if I can't find this brake!

I've emailed them but they said that it will be at least 5 weeks or even longer (they don't know) until they have any in stock....

How about these? The front brake is the one with the triangular section where it mounts and it mounts on the rear of your fork.

Oh and here's a kludgy but workable adapter - it turns a standard brake mount into a one for U-brakes, then you could use noc231073's direct mount brake.

Or pay top dollar (€150 + €15) shipping for the real thing from der fatherland.

It is kinda funny how you need to pay gazillions for a backwards pointing noodle and noodle-catcher pivot. If you were quite good with machining or mechanical bits you could probably just make a noodle-catcher pivot and rivet it on yourself :O

I'm definitely not in any way familiar with machining so I'll definitely need to buy. Both great options above. The campag ones won't work but the adapter or the highly priced German would be worth it given I'd be looking at p2m next and I don't have compatible crankset.

Tbh I'm almost at the point where I might just spend the extra dosh on vectors since I can use on all of my bikes but it's hard to come to terms with parting with that amount of money..... especially when they'll cost more than I payed for my TT bike in the 1st place!!!

Managed to get sorted in the end! Made our German friend an offer on the brakes and got a good deal. Had held off on buying the stages and nearly couldn't find one when I went to purchase there but Merlin Cycles still have some stock left. Stages told me there wouldn't be another shipment to the uk until mid July and almost everyone is out of stock!

Thanks for all the offers and advice!
