I was looking at buying an 07 one of these, really nice car and a good deal , but I was wondering would this be very heavy on fuel for short trip journeys? Never had a 2litre petrol before...
My budget can't stretch to come up in the years to get a diesel...
    Any inputs would be appreciated!

There is also a 1.6 petrol available.
That car would be very undesirable so it'd want to be cheap.

Are you doing much mileage? If not then mpg shouldn't be an issue.

Yeah I've been looking at the 1.6 model too, just this one is cheaper with a higher spec...

Wouldnt be doing massive mileage, mainly the wife around town..

The reason it's cheaper is because it is not as desirable as the 1.6 or diesel. Most 2.0 litre petrol ones sold here where autos and as such were found of the juice. Plus side is that most where high spec too.

If you are buying a 2.0 litre then just be aware that it will be very difficult to sell on so if you are only keeping the car for a couple of years then it might be best to look at something else.
